McDonald Law Accounting can provide a range of services for your Firm, either on a short term basis, holiday cover, or on a longer term part time basis (when availability permits).
Primarily in terms of holiday cover I will liaise with the Cashier to ascertain what core functions they want me to undertake while they are away. The main objective is for the Cashier to return from a break and be able to start immediately on the current work and not have any backlog to deal with. If order to facilitate this, the following routine procedures can be undertaken (subject to having prior knowledge of the system in place or training provided to use the system in the case of bespoke accounting packages)
- Daily Postings
- Creation of Daybooks, Month End Reports and Year End Reports
- All aspects of dealing with Clients invested monies
- Petty cash
- Bank and Other Funds Reconciliations
- Directly dealing with Banks, Building Societies and other Financial organisations
